Biography:
Dr. Lawrence Mabasa earned his PhD in Nutritional Physiology from North Dakota State University (NDSU), focusing on maternal nutrition and offspring health. He currently serves as a Senior Scientist at the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to his current employment, he gained postdoctoral experiences at NDSU and The University of Cape Town. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Mabasa mentored numerous students and secured over R10 million in research grants from organizations like NIH, the US Department of Defense, and South Africa's National Research Foundation.
