Biography:
Sarah is a lecturer in the School of Home Economics in Atlantic Technological University (ATU) St. Angelas, Sligo, Ireland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) in Home Economics and Biology from the National University of Ireland Galway and a Master of Science (MSc) in Food, Nutrition and Health through University College Dublin. Sarah has previously worked as a Principal Teacher of Home Economics, Physical Education and Health and Wellbeing in Scotland. Sarah’s current PhD research focuses on food literacy and the development of food literacy skills of farmers in Ireland. Her current research aims to investigate the knowledge, attitudes and beliefs of Irish farmers in relation to the use of Home Economics for the enhancement of food literacy skills.
