Biography:
Dr. Jillian Tutuo is a nutritionist by profession with extensive years of experience in public health research and nutrition related policy intervention for the prevention of obesity and non-communicable diseases in the Pacific. She has led work on INFORMAS (International Network for Food and Obesity / Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) Research, Monitoring and Action Support) in the Pacific. Currently, a Research Fellow with WorldFish Solomon Islands, her work focuses on nutrition-sensitive fisheries, strengthening island food systems, and build collaborative networks and partnerships. She holds a master’s degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a PhD in Social Health and Development from Deakin University, Melbourne Australia.
