Diet is a crucial component of everything we do. Food provides the fuel for our bodies and minds to think effectively and complete daily duties. Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is an evidence-based medical approach to treating some chronic conditions using a customised nutrition plan. A primary care physician orders and approves this dietary plan, which is then carried out by a Registered Dietitian. MNT has the potential to change people's lives by lowering the complications of chronic diseases including Type 2 Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). Adults with obesity, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, HIV infection, unexpected weight loss, and other chronic diseases have been demonstrated to benefit from MNT. Normalizing serum glucose and cholesterol levels, achieving weight loss or stabilisation, and developing healthy and sustainable eating habits are all goals of medical nutrition treatment.
